Works celebrating Leonardo Da Vinci, 500 years after his death

In 2019 we celebrate the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo Da Vinci, the artist who, between art and science, established himself as one of the greatest minds in the history of man.

Many events have been organized in the various cities where Leonardo lived in Italy and Europe, which began last May 2nd, the date on which the Florentine artist died, and which will continue in the following months.

Just think that in Milan alone, the celebrations will last until January 2020: in the Sforza Castle, there will be the reopening of the Sala delle Asse where it will be possible to admire Leonardo's extraordinary decorations up close. How can we not mention the famous representation of the 'Last Supper', a wall fresco preserved in the former refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie and which boasts a myriad of visitors all year round. And then again, exhibitions, museums, multimedia itineraries created with the intent of recalling in every corner of the city the presence of the artist who left so much to Italy, to Milan, to the World.
The Mercante di Stampe also proudly contributes to paying homage to the artist through perfect artistic reproductions available in the Online Shop . Lady with an Ermine , dated 1488, which most likely portrays the young and beautiful Cecilia Gallerani, lover of Ludovico il Moro. The identification is underlined thanks to the presence of the ermine, which in addition to being a symbol of purity and incorruptibility, in Greek defined galḗ , evidence of clear allusions to the girl's surname. This representation encloses in itself the beauty of a young woman, who hides the secret of being the lover of an important politician. Cenacolo , artistic reproduction of the Last Supper, perfect digital print in very high definition, made with mastery to keep intact and faithfully reproduce, the artistic grandeur of the wall painting.

All Mercante di Stampe products are made using high-tech machinery in order to create an excellent product in terms of sharpness, colour brilliance, resistance to light and time.
